General Conditions, Refund and Returns Policy

1. General Provisions

By using the website upcycled.bike (the “Website”), you agree to these General Conditions. The Website is owned and operated by upcycled.bike, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our website address is: https://upcycled.bike

2. Products and Ordering

Our Website offers custom made bicycles, premade bicycles, and bike accessories. To order without the assistance of a legal guardian, you must be over the age of 18.

 

3. Payment

We accept payments via Credit Card (processed through Stripe), PayPal, and iDeal.

 

4. Shipping and Delivery

For orders within the Amsterdam region, delivery is free of charge. For orders outside of Amsterdam but within the Netherlands, the delivery cost is €40. For Belgium, the cost is €55; Germany, €115; France, €150. Accessories ordered without a bike will be shipped via PostNL with charges automatically calculated at checkout.

 

Custom made bikes take approximately 7 days to produce and an additional 3 days for delivery. Premade bikes can be delivered the same day, and accessories are typically delivered within 2 working days.

 

5. Refund and Return Policy

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Any damages or missing parts will void the refund/return ability.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

    • Bikes or products with obvious signs of use

    • In case you have chosen to customise your own bike, you cannot return the bike for free. A 250 euro charge for respraying the bike will be deducted from your return bill.

    • Any item not in its original upclyced condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

     

     

    Refunds

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed by bankwithin a certain amount of days.


    Late or missing refunds

    If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

    Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

    Sale items

    Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

    Exchanges

    We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected] .

    Gifts

    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

    If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

    Shipping returns

    To return your product, you should mail your product to: Da Costakade 26A, 1052SJ Amstedam.

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

    Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

    If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

     

6. Warranty

All products come with a 6-month warranty. Our products are designed with standard materials that any normal bike repair shop can fix.

 

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these General Conditions or your use of the Website will be resolved in a Dutch court of law.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

upcycled.bike will not be liable for any accidents or damages occurring from the use of our products, including those resulting from production errors or faulty fixes.

 

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this Website is owned by upcycled.bike and protected by intellectual property rights.

 

10. Production Times

Production times may vary based on demand and availability. We strive to meet the times stated on our Website, but delays may occur. In such cases, we will contact customers to inform them of any changes.
